What Age Group Does Dr. Hajek Work With?
Dr. Hajek accepts new patient requests from adults ages 25-60.
Does Dr. Hajek Work With Men?
Yes, she has broad experience in treating men with psychiatric symptoms.
Does Dr. Hajek Work With Adolescents or Young Adults?
No, Dr. Hajek is board certified to treat adults only. Her practice is limited to ages 25 and older because, in her experience, adolescents and young adults are best treated by a provider who is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry.
What if I Already Have a Therapist?
Dr. Hajek primarily offers integrated treatment services, but participates in “split” treatment in select situations. We recommend that you call Dr. Hajek and speak with her directly to find out if this would be appropriate for your circumstances.
What Conditions Does Dr. Hajek Treat?
Dr. Hajek treats a wide variety of conditions including stress and worry, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety and fear of public speaking, obsessive compulsive symptoms, panic, phobias, fear of flying, depressive disorders, seasonal depressive symptoms, relationship difficulties, career and work issues, life transitions, grief and loss, low self-esteem and health concerns to name a few.
Are There Mental Health Conditions That Dr. Hajek Does Not Treat?
Yes. Small practices are ideally situated for providing personalized care in a one to one setting. Some conditions are best managed by either a multi-disciplinary team that can provide comprehensive treatment and intervention in a more intensive setting or by clinicians that specialize in those fields:
- Bipolar (manic-depressive) disorders
- Attention deficit disorders as a primary area of focus/stimulant medication
- Current drug or alcohol overuse or abuse
- Disorders requiring medication during pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Return to work evaluations
- Disability evaluations
- Dementia
- Schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders
- Severe trauma
- Severe eating disorders (i.e. anorexia, bulimia)
- Anger management
- Domestic violence
- Self-harming disorders
- Court ordered treatment
